The new 2015 Sharan has a new look, new technology and more efficiency than ever before.
The main exterior changes are the LED tail-lamps, a new range of standard 16" alloy wheels as well as two new paint colours to choose from. The TSI 217 bhp engines come with the option of 1.4 or 2.0 petrol engines. The diesel engines offer a 1.6 litre TDI with an output of 114 bhp. The second diesel engine is a 2.0 TDI with a choice of 148 bhp or 181 bhp. The new engines, which comply with EU6 emissions regulations, promise a 15% gain in efficiency.
The automatic post collision braking system is standard fit across the range, with optional extras such as adaptive cruise control, city emergency braking and the next generation of park assist. The four wheel drive system will be offered with the most powerful 2.0 litre engines.
The updated Sharan will be one of the first Volkswagen's to be fitted with a new infotainment system featuring Apple's CarPlay through the "App Connect" smart phone connection. Android Auto and MirrorLink are also available to download and use.
