New Superb model has potential range of more than 1,100 miles on just one tank of fuel

The first glimpse of the new Superb Greenline

SKODA has announced first details about the much-anticipated new Superb GreenLine. It’s set to be our most advanced and efficient model to date, with a predicted combined fuel consumption figure of 76.4mpg and CO2 emissions as low as 96g/km – and a potential range of more than 1,100 miles on just one tank of fuel.

The new Superb GreenLine Hatch and Estate will be unveiled to the public at the Frankfurt motor show this month and will be available in the UK later this year! Both variants will be powered by a 1.6-litre 120PS diesel engine and offer a number of advanced fuel-saving technologies and engineering features, including engine stop/start, brake energy recovery, long gear ratios, selective catalytic reduction (SCR) and wheels fitted with low-resistance tyres.

Nitrogen oxide emissions will be reduced through the SCR system, using the reducing agent AdBlue. The new Superb GreenLine will also have improved aerodynamics: the chassis will be 15mm lower than the standard Superb, while tailgate and roof spoilers will channel air efficiently around the rear of the car. The new model also has a potential range of more than 1,100 miles on one tank of fuel
