Skoda is providing a fleet of vehicles to the Tour of Britain as it sponsors the elite cycling event for the fourth year running.
The race kicked off in Wrexham yesterday and will finish in London on Sunday 13th September. During this time, a fleet of 50 Skodas will support the world-class riders and their teams, with vehicles including the Octavia, Yeti and Fabia as well as the new Superb, more than a week ahead of its launch in retailers’ showrooms.
Andrew Cullis, head of marketing for Skoda UK, said: "Skoda’s ongoing partnership with the Tour of Britain is testimony to our support for cycling. The company started as a bike manufacturer 120 years ago and cycling continues to play a key part in our company today.
"We’re really excited to show off the new Superb to the country’s growing band of cycling enthusiasts. With its cavernous boot and optional internal bike rack, it’s the perfect union between two and four wheels. The gruelling course should offer the perfect chance to demonstrate the high standards to which all our vehicles are designed and engineered."
